PRMT7 Inhibitors for the Treatment of Prostate Cancer

We are delighted to see that, building on work performed at the ONCOCRISPR Lab, a new inhibitor with promising antitumour properties has been developed against PRMT7 — the gene our CRISPR/Cas9 screens identified as a driver of metastasis in prostate cancer.

It is yet another piece of evidence supporting PRMT7 as a highly relevant therapeutic target, and another sign of how much unbiased screening approaches can deliver. Congratulations to María Rodrigo-Faus and Paloma Bragado.
